TORX Screwdriver Sizing

TORX screw head size designations use the capital letter "T", followed by a number. A smaller number corresponds to a smaller point-to-point dimension of the screw head.

Common sizes include T4, T5, T6, T7, T8, T9, T10 and T15 although they can be as high as T100.  These are also often referred to as torx t4, torx t5, torx t6, torx t7, torx t8, torx t9, torx t10 and torx t15. Some folks refer to them as torx 4, torx 5, torx 6, torx 7, torx 8, torx 9, torx 10 and torx 15. Individual screwdrivers are properly called: t4 screwdriver, t5 screwdriver, t6 screwdriver, t7 screwdriver, t8 screwdriver, t9 screwdriver, t10 screwdriver and t15 screwdriver.

You can also purchase a torx set which contains just the torx bits of the common torx sizes along with a screwdriver bit holder.

Each screw size requires the properly-sized screwdriver. In the table below 1 Nm = 8.851 lbf-in.
